These terms apply when you order or use web hosting, email hosting, domain or web design services from Grow Host (“we”, “us”). By placing an order you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
1. Orders and prices
- Prices are in South African Rand and shown per month.
- Introductory offer: new hosting customers get 60% off their first term. The prices shown on our website include this discount. After the first term your plan renews at the standard price, which we confirm on your invoice before you pay.
- We confirm every order and send an invoice before setting up your service. Your service starts once payment reflects.
2. Payment and renewals
- Services are paid in advance for each billing period.
- We send a renewal invoice before each period ends. If an invoice isn’t paid within 7 days of its due date, we may suspend the service until payment is received, and may cancel it after 30 days of non-payment. We’ll warn you by email before either happens.
3. Domains
- Domains are registered in your name (you’re the registrant) and are subject to the rules of the relevant registry.
- A free domain is included while you keep an active hosting plan. If you cancel hosting, you can keep the domain by paying its renewal fee or transfer it to another provider.
- You’re responsible for renewing domains not covered by a hosting plan. We’ll remind you before expiry.
4. Your responsibilities
- Keep your login details safe and your contact details up to date.
- Don’t use our services for anything illegal, for spam or phishing, to host malware, to infringe others’ rights, or in a way that harms our systems or other customers. We may suspend services used this way.
- Keep your own copies of important files. We take care of our systems, but you are responsible for backing up your website and email content.
5. Support and availability
Support is available 24/7 at support@growhost.co.za. We work to keep services available and fix problems quickly, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted service, for example during maintenance or events outside our control.
6. Upgrades and cancellations
You can upgrade at any time. Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Web design projects
Web design work is quoted separately. The quote sets out the scope, price, timeline and payment terms for that project.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the affected service in the three months before the claim, and we’re not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will notify existing customers of material changes. South African law governs these terms.
